In addition to adapting hymns to include
playovers and bridges I have composed some of my own. These
will feature here and are available for free download in PDF.
Please note Let's go to
Bethlehem! has proved immensely popular with those who have sung
it. I have removed it from these pages with a view to a future
publication.

* I wrote this tune when
I first came across the song; I much prefer it as the emphasis falls
on
walk, walk in the light
which I consider much kinder on the ears than
walk, walk, in the light
which I find clumsy.
I welcome your feedback on these items. It is easy
to compose a tune; it is much more difficult to make it work well. I hope that you enjoy them. Most used has been the tune SIDCUP
for Take up thy Cross. I suggest that it has a more appropriate feel
than that typically used - BRESLAU which I note has been subject to
modification by some publishers to "lose" the opening minor chord.
You're there! and Take
up thy cross (SIDCUP) are now included in The Volume.
